Each team will compete by performing an original improvised piece- never seen before and never to be seen again.
The audience vote decides who moves on to the next round and who goes home sad and defeated!

Cash Test Dummies 2 —- round 1
Been away from Tumblr for a while, but we’re back and Cash Test Dummies season 2 is in progress at The Brick Theater in Williamsburg Brooklyn. So far 15 teams have competed in round 1 action but this time around the voting scheme is different:
The audience votes after each team’s performance from 0-5 (5 being best) on the following criteria: COMEDY: (how funny was the show? did you laugh a lot?) PERFORMANCE: (how well was the show executed? Did you buy into the reality being created on stage?) TEAMWORK: (was everybody on the same page? was there groupmind? was it confused?) and OVERALL PERFORMANCE: (technicals aside, how did you enjoy the show?).
So out of a possible 20, here are the standings so far:

Results & Highlights from 7/14/10 show
First of all, a big thanks to all the performers and all those who came out to watch the show. We had another capacity crowd!
In the first standoff, 2 indy heavyweights competed in very fun shows. Player Piano
(suggestion: Tennis Racquet) explored a guy who got off vomitting on strippers, a parent-teacher conference for home-schooled children whose parents are also their teachers, and a 45-minute keg stand. They were followed by Casual Sex Offenders (suggestion: Castaway) who played a show about the ins and outs of being Survivor contestants, fishin’ in wells for fish (& ladies), and whether or not the female characters on Lost had their menstral cycles affected by the island.
Winner: Casual Sex Offenders
In the second bout, 2 teams— each composed of 3 hilarious and gorgeous ladies— battled fiercly using improv as their weapon! Doppelganger (suggestion: Tasty Freeze) had a high energy show full of steroid-fueled cheerleaders, barrels of ribs, and a purgatory where 2 incarnations of the devil try to trick an unwitting newly dead girl.
Next, ELSIE JAY *improv girl smash* (suggestion: Condom) had a very funny show featuring Liz getting beaten with a parasol, a daughter who only seems to date men who cannot sleep with her (due to impotence, being gay etc.) and her father who only wants his daughter to score, and of course hilarity ensued in a scene about AIDS.
Winner: Doppelganger
In the final contest of the night, The Trinity (suggestion: Rwanda) had a school who accidentally donated charity money to Haishee instead of Haiti, visited Disneyland Rwanda, and found comedy in the child slave trade. Mr. Gentleman in their debut perfomance (suggestion: Fiji) performed a monoscene in which bumbling hotel co-managers push bottled water on a room of vacationers, one of which had terrible diabetes and the other was banging chicks in the ocean on surfboards.
Winner: The Trinity
